9 weeks

How far along: 9 weeks
Weight gain: pfffft. No clue.
Cravings: Tomatoes. They're one of the only things that sound good right now.
Queasy or nauseous: On and off- it seems like as long as I have something in my stomach, that I feel pretty good. So mornings and late afternoons are the roughest for me right now.
Sleep: I wake up at the exact same time every night to pee. But after that I'm out like a light.
Miss anything: pee-trip-free sleeps
Best moment of this week: This has nothing to do with the baby, but Trevor and I finished painting our entryway last night after it stayed half-done for months. It's so nice to finally have it done! Now on to our bedroom and the nursery...
Looking forward to: My first doctor appointment tomorrow!

8 weeks

How far along: 8 weeks
Weight gain: I have no idea. There was a scale at Trevor's work when I visited yesterday, but I didn't step on it because I honestly didn't want to know the number. Ha.
Cravings: Pickled ginger! It's that ginger stuff that comes with plates of sushi, and luckily we found some when we were grocery shopping yesterday.
Queasy or nauseous: nothing too bad
Sleep: I've been tossing and turning so much lately and leg cramps have been waking me up pretty often
Miss anything: wine
Best moment of this week: praying for our little baby bean each night
Looking forward to: Telling our families in a month or so.

love list

Here are a few of my favorite links that are just too good to not share:

vanilla sugar body scrub - I made this yesterday (yay for a four day weekend!) and it is divine. I substituted coconut oil for the olive oil it calls for since I am in love with the smell of coconut oil.

spring cleaning checklist - I love lists and I keep telling myself that sometime soon I'll have enough energy to deep clean our house... I hope that if I say it enough times, it'll be true. In the meantime, this list not only has deep cleaning ideas listed, but easy basics that I can tackle in just a few minutes.

highlighting & contouring makeup - this tutorial is so essential right now for me since I feel bloated ev.ery.where.  It's super easy to follow and understand and I always feel more pulled together after I h&c.

overnight yeasted waffles - I love pancakes and waffles and pretty much any breakfast food, so this is a recipe I cannot wait to make. It looks absolutely perfect for slow Saturday mornings.

baby wrap - we're not buying baby supplies just yet, but I can't wait to get one of these wraps. I love all the colors they offer and I love that they're made in the United States.

7 weeks

I feel so bad about not updating in a few weeks, but going through new job transitions and fighting morning (all the time) sickness and fatigue make it so hard to find extra time.

How far along: 7 weeks
Weight gain: I'm not sure since we don't own a scale, but I feel so bloated
Cravings: None yet
Queasy or nauseous: I feel car sick pretty much all the time, especially when my stomach is more empty
Sleep: Great
Miss anything: Having energy
Best moment of this week: The reality of being pregnant sinking in
Looking forward to: First doctor appointment later this month!

5 weeks

How far along: 5 weeks
Weight gain: None so far
Cravings: None yet
Queasy or nauseous: I get a nausea feeling similar to carsickness sometimes, but nothing too bad yet
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well so far, I wake up from nerves every once in a while and needing to pee even more often
Miss anything: My appetite- nothing sounds good to eat lately
Best moment of this week: Getting a positive pregnancy test!
Looking forward to: Getting past the first trimester

Trevor was right

Trevor was right.  I was a week late, and I just figured my body was being weird and acting just a little bit "off".  Right when I told Trev I was late, he said I was pregnant.  I continued to deny it and laughed at him.  I didn't even see the point of taking a test since I figured there was no way I could be preggers.  Lo and behold, a little blue plus sign instead of a minus sign.  I sat in the bathroom in a stupor until Trevor came home and I let him know that, yes, he'd been right all along these past few days.
